Use Their Noggin :: KINGDOM FOCUS

Pastor Steve shares some Kingdom foundations. Christians are not citizens of the world. Citizens of the Kingdom have been transformed as they obey the King and want others to find what they have found.

Citizens of the Kingdom use their noggins!

The non-thinking don’t consider the consequences. The non-thinking give little thought to circumstances. The non-thinking can cause great damage.

We as citizens of the Kingdom, need to think about what we are doing in the Kingdom. We need to live a circumspect life. We need to be circumspect when talking with authorities. We need to be circumspect about the unknown. We need to be be circumspect about opposition. We need to be circumspect about the mission. We need to be circumspect regarding boundaries.

Inside the Head of the Kingdom Minded :: KINGDOM FOCUS

If you are a Christ Follower, you are a citizen of Heaven.

Citizenship gives us privileges before God. We have the privilege of being an heir. We have the privilege of having salvation. We have the privilege of being made righteous. We have the privilege of life eternal.

Citizenship gives us responsibilities before God. In the kingdom, it is actually a privilege to be given a responsibility.

Let’s take a look inside the head of the kingdom-minded. There is a concern for the well-being of the kingdom. There is a desire for renewal. There is a confidence in God’s provision. There is an awareness of God’s Providence. There is a respect for God’s call and the role you are to fill.

What is going on inside your head? Open your heart to God – surrender. Intentionally spend time in prayer with God. Willingly give yourself for the kingdom.

Pausing To Examine Your Life’s Meaning :: KINGDOM FOCUS

When do you take time to look at life?

Some people don’t because they run on automatic, are too distracted or are afraid to look.

Some people look fearlessly to see places to invest their lives to make a difference – an eternal difference.

Pausing and looking at life is a way you measure the meaning of your life. For Christ-followers, meaning begins with having a Kingdom mindset.

We know who we are in the Kingdom. We pay attention to what’s going on. We pray about what we see. We live our citizenship intentionally.

What meaning will your life have in 2024? Think like a citizen of the Kingdom. Make your priorities Kingdom priorities. Live like a citizen of the Kingdom.

Inseparable Presence :: BEST GIFTS OF 2023

God made you to be social. You need people, and you need God.

There is power in the presence of God. God’s presence promises all we need. God’s presence nullifies condemnation. God’s presence provides ongoing forgiveness. God’s presence remains regardless of circumstances.

God’s presence gives us victory over all that would destroy us.

Unfathomable Glory :: BEST GIFTS OF 2023

Glory can be something achieved or something received.

God does not yield His glory to anyone.

God reveals Glory in us that He put in us.

Glorification affects all of you!

Unfathomable glory is incomparable, all encompassing, on its way and is a certainty.

Unfathomable glory was purchased by Christ on the cross. It is only available from Him, and is only applicable to His.

Transformation :: BEST GIFTS OF 2023

Transformation is one of the best gifts of 2023.

Think about your story. Think about how you were before Christ. Think about when you had that moment. Think about the transformation that God brings. Transformation may be God’s favorite part. Transformation is His end game.

God is transforming your perspective. You seeing things differently. You begin seeing eternity differently.

God is transforming your lifestyle. He is putting deeds of the flesh to death. This process is not burdensome.

God is transforming your identity. He is giving you a new freedom. He is making you a part of a new tribe!

Look for God to transform how you see life, how you do life and how you view yourself.

Unearned Freedom :: BEST GIFTS OF 2023

For Advent 2023, Pastor Steve will be speaking on a series titled Best Gifts of 2023. The first Best Gift of 2023 is Unearned Freedom.

Why is unearned freedom a best gift? God prizes freedom. Freedom allows for heart expressions. Freedom allows us to really live.

We are free from condemnation. We are free from the law of sin and death. We are free from the Law of Moses. There is freedom in the law of the Spirit who gives life.

Don’t waste your freedom. Consider the source and cost of your freedom. Consider the purpose of your freedom.

Things that Sons and Daughters Need

We can all support the children in our community with the things that they need.

Preparing for the End of the Age

How should you prepare for the end of the age?

Some prepare for the end of the age carelessly. They never give it a moment’s thought. Some prepare for it obsessively. They are more concerned with the end time details than with their own spiritual growth. Some prepare for it foolishly by “filling up the barns”.

The better ways to prepare for the end of the age is to live industriously. Remember to serve God whether He comes back tomorrow or 2,000 years from now. Live in community. We are to spend time meeting together and encouraging one another. Live by the Spirit. Live graciously. Live thankfully and filled with joy.

The Importance of Commitment :: RELATIONSHIPS

The most essential element in a healthy relationship is commitment.

Commitment is more than a feeling. Commitment is a clear decision resulting in change. Commitment endures.

Commitment creates a sense of security and confidence. Commitment lays a foundation for effective living. Commitment demonstrates Christlikeness. Healthy relationships cannot exist without commitment.

When entering into a commitment, look for the calling. Ask God with whom am I called to have friendships that are marked by commitment. When entering into a commitment, consider the cost. Not so you can decide if it is worth it, but so you are prepared to live out the commitment. When entering a commitment, consider the outcome.
